Social Outreach Group

The Social Outreach Group was formed in early 2012 by combining the Regeneration Group and the Social Committee.  Its aims are to:

  • Help keep our church active and alive by finding improved ways of reaching out to people

  • Organise low-cost events suitable for all the family.

Some of the popular activities include:

  • Parish Walks, which help to introduce people to the beauty of our local area.

  • Crafty Church, which involves people of all ages in a range of craft based activities in church.

  • New Year's Party, a family gathering held in mid-January.
  • Car Treasure Trail, held in June, where a set of clues should lead you to a child-friendly pub.
  • Patronal Festival, which brings together our main church services in the middle of July.  Prizes are awarded to the Sunday School Children and the event finishes with a Parish Picnic.
  • Fireworks Party, which is held on the Sunday nearest to 5th November.
  • Carol Singing at Sainsbury's, which is held just before Christmas.
